AT&T is listed on the Carbon Disclosure Project's Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, which includes companies that have demonstrated strong internal data management practices for the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions and energy use.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index
North America (2010-2013)
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index North America is based on a rigorous analysis of corporate, economic, environmental and social performance. The index tracks the performance of the top 20 percent of the 600 biggest North American companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index that lead the field in terms of sustainability.
100 Best Corporate Citizens List
CR Magazine (2011-2013)
AT&T was ranked 1st on the annual list of the Best Corporate Citizens by CR Magazine. We continue rising on this corporate citizenship ranking, which recognizes top corporate citizens based on publicly available environmental, social and governance data. In 2012 we placed 33rd, up from 86th in 2011.
Vigeo - US 50 (the 50 most advanced US companies)
NYSE Euronext and Vigeo
This index was launched in July 2013 and distinguishes companies achieving the most advanced Environmental, Social and Governance performance. Companies contained in these indices have achieved the highest score, as determined by a review of up to 330 indicators, assessed within 38 sustainability drivers
AT&T placed 28th out of the top 500 U.S. companies in 2012. This is in comparison to our rankings of 35th in 2011 and 122nd in 2010.
FTSE4Good Index (2010-2013)
AT&T continues to be a member company of the FTSE4Good Index. As institutional investors around the world put increasing focus on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices of the companies they invest in, ESG risk measures are an increasingly important part of the investment process.
World's Most Admired Companies, Top 50
Fortune Magazine (2009-2010, 2012)
Fortune magazine surveyed businesspeople on the companies they admired the most from any industry. AT&T was the only telecom company that ranked in the top 50.
Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register (2012)
AT&T is a member of the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register, one of the oldest socially responsible investing organizations.
Maplecroft Climate Innovation Index (inception-2012)
AT&T ranked 22 of 100 on the U.S. list, and increased its listing to 53rd on the global Leaders and Benchmark Indices.
Calvert Social Index Fund (2012)
AT&T remains in the Top 10 Holdings of the Calvert Social Index Fund, which tracks corporate sustainability progress as well as financial indicators.

The Civic 50 (2012)
The Civic 50 identifies and recognizes companies for their commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities where they do business. AT&T was recognized as the No. 1 most community-minded company in the communications category in 2013, and earned the number three spot in this inaugural list of America’s most community-minded companies in 2012.
Presidential Volunteer Service Award (2007-2013)
For the seventh year in a row, AT&T received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, the highest award recognizing employee volunteerism. In 2013, over 3,000 AT&T employees were recognized with this award for their commitment to service.
Spirit of the Bay Award
United Way (2012)
Each year, United Way's Spirit of the Bay Award recognizes two Bay Area employers that exceed all others in community involvement through their partnership with United Way.
