As parents, giving your child their first car is a big milestone. You’re most likely concerned with their safety as well as the safety of the vehicle they’re driving. Imagine a service that makes it possible to manage cars from the perspective of your household.
Connected Car Diagnostic Platform (CCDP) was developed through AT&T’s employee crowdsourcing tool, The Innovation Pipeline (TIP). CCDP lets people see everything going on with their vehicle. If your daughter’s taillight is out or your son’s vehicle has an upcoming maintenance check, CCDP will notify you (the parent). If you have a new driver and want to limit their driving to your city or neighborhood, you can create boundaries. And you can set up an alert via text, email or phone if they go out of this area. If you want to know if your child is texting while driving, you can set up an alert to be notified if and when they do. The service also monitors fuel efficiency.
CCDP offers consumers and enterprise customers alike the opportunity to better manage the safety of vehicles and drivers.
