I confess there may have been a time or two when I repeatedly looked at the clock during a web-based training. Maybe I flipped through a training manual, rereading the same sentence after catching myself doodling in the margins. I get it. Training can be tedious and – let’s face it – sometimes boring. Until WOW — I mean now.

My team has worked hard to develop an immersive and fun training experience for our agents. Something that conveys to them the WOW factor of AT&T products and services and equips them with the knowledge they need to better serve you, our customers. Later this month, we will complete installation of WOW rooms and stations in 65 sales and service centers.

Each WOW station will have DIRECTV service running on 2 TVs. Agents will be able to experience the full spectrum of DIRECTV’s offerings – from shows to music to apps and sports. There will be a laptop, tablet and smartphone as well to ensure users can experience streaming of DIRECTV at the website and on the DIRECTV App. Touchscreens will guide them through interactive training modules of AT&T’s products and services.  There will be a quiz at the end of each segment. But, it’s a fun and competitive game of WOW trivia.

The WOW stations will grow and evolve as we learn from using them and gather feedback from the users. We can quickly push new information to the stations, keeping the content fresh and relevant.

The WOW stations are another way AT&T is engaging agents with best-in-class tools to make your experience even better. And that’s our No. 1 priority.
