NOW Part of the Apple TV App

DIRECTV NOW has integrated with the Apple TV app — a fantastic way for viewers to discover and access shows, movies, sports and news from multiple apps across iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

The Watch Now tab on the Apple TV app is where everything you can watch across services comes together with recommendations, a look at “what’s trending,” live sports, and more. At the top of the tab, Up Next helps organize your shows, movies and sports, so you can easily keep track of everything you’re watching and never miss a new episode or live game.

There’s so much on-demand content and live sports channels included with your DIRECTV NOW subscription, so the Apple TV app is a great place to help you find something new or jump back into your favorite on-demand show as new episodes arrive or quickly tune to a national sports broadcast.

Siri

When it comes to streaming, so many of us watch shows and movies across several services. But titles are constantly coming on and off those services, making them difficult to find.

Thankfully, the search feature on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV helps by quickly displaying an aggregate list of all the places a specific show is available.

Available today, the search feature now includes the extensive DIRECTV NOW’s on-demand library, which offers thousands of movies and TV episodes with your live subscription!

There’s a good chance we have a few things you didn’t realize ...

Simply use the “search” function or ask Siri to find a show as you normally would, and any content available in the DIRECTV NOW library will appear as an option.

Siri can now take care of live tune-in for you too, so you get right to a specific live channel with ease. Simply say “Siri, tune to [your favorite channel]” to open DIRECTV NOW and turn on the channel.

Single Sign-On

Lastly, jumping through login hoops to stream a network app is sooo 2018. DIRECTV NOW customers across iPhone, iPad and Apple TV can now enjoy the hassle-free time saver that is single sign-on.

Follow these steps to take advantage of this new feature with your DIRECTV NOW credentials or you’ll be prompted to enter them the first time you use a supported third party app.

Sign in to your account once and any supported app will automatically open without requiring login information and without sending you to [insert favorite network website here].com/activate each time you want to stream a new app.

DIRECTV NOW customers have access to dozens of third-party apps and can sign in to any that are included in their service package. Here’s the full list of apps. And below are those that currently support single sign-on.
