Xandr supports 9 nonprofits during the holiday season

This Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity, Xandr employees came together to participate in the first-ever Xandr Cares $100k Challenge. Nine champions of social good across Xandr each nominated an organization near and dear to their hearts to receive contributions from AT&T based on employee votes. More than 8,600 votes came in from Xandr employees worldwide.

Roof for a Child, an organization that raises awareness and support for the infrastructure and lodging of children in the most rural parts of India, received the most votes and will receive a $20,000 donation from AT&T.

“I nominated Roof for a Child, an organization that empowers communities to build facilities where kids can come and stay, live, and study,” said Ben John, Xandr’s Chief Technology Officer, who hails from India. “I believe education is a fundamental right for every kid. My mom was a teacher, I believe education is the reason I’m here today.”

Other top vote getters include:

  • Kinder-Hospiz Sternenbrücke will receive a $13,000 contribution to continue to care for terminally ill young people and their families.
  • K9s for Warriors will receive a $13,000 contribution to continue to provide service dogs to military veterans suffering from traumatic injuries as a result of military service post-9/11.

The remaining 6 organizations will each receive a $9,000 contribution to address critical issues worldwide, including: pancreatic cancer treatment and awareness, homelessness, increased diversity and humanity in STEM, social impact startup development, and childhood advocacy.
