AT&T and the American Film Institute (AFI) are teaming again to connect you to a talented group of storytellers.

The AFI DOCS 2017 film festival, presented by AT&T, kicks off June 14 in Washington, D.C., and Silver Spring, Maryland. AFI DOCS brings you the year's best documentaries. And it’s unique. It’s the only festival in the U.S. dedicated to screenings and events that connect audiences, filmmakers and policy leaders in the heart of our nation's government.

AT&T believes that connecting people – to each other and to their passions – is vital. We’ve worked with AFI DOCS for 9 years to connect you to your passion for powerful films.

The 15th edition of this cinematic celebration will showcase 103 films from 28 countries. The lineup includes:

  • 3 world premieres
  • 2 international premieres
  • 3 North American premieres
  • 7 U.S. premieres
  • 5 East Coast premieres

As presenting sponsor, AT&T will host the opening night film and East Coast premiere of Netflix's ICARUS, directed by Bryan Fogel. ICARUS tells the story of an American cyclist who experiments with performance-enhancing drugs and ends up entangled in the highest levels of the Russian government.
