We are honored to be able to be involved with several events and programs in the community that speak to recognizing the legacy and achievements of African Americans. As a company, we take our commitment to diversity and community partnership and weave it through every initiative we have that reaches those we serve.

As part of our celebration of Black History Month, we are participating in the BET Honors in Washington D.C. For the past seven years, this program has honored several distinguished African Americans, who perform at exceptional levels in their fields, while blazing new trails for others to follow in their footsteps. As a corporate sponsor, we not only make a financial investment, but also join in honoring these influential leaders from entertainment and entrepreneurship, to legends in music and visual arts. This year’s honorees showcase a diverse host of notables including:

  • Record producer and songwriter Berry Gordy
  • “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin
  • Business executive Kenneth Chenault
  • Ingenious artist Carrie Mae Weems
  • Actor, Screenwriter, Film Director, and Producer Ice Cube

We have also chosen to sponsor the Corporate Citizen Award. As a company, we know the commitment and dedication it takes to ensure businesses run successfully, while valuing the input from lots of diverse backgrounds.
