One Year Later, How Our Neighbors Still Need Help

Over a year has come and gone since Hurricane Sandy devastated Sea Bright, NJ. Some residents are still unable to return to their destroyed homes.

On October 29th of this year, over 90 AT&T employees joined in the ongoing Sandy relief efforts in Sea Bright. Hours were spent removing sand off the sea wall surrounding the city, further proof just how much damage was done.

While some employees spent their time cleaning, others were building anew. A “sand fence” is in the process of going up, which will help create dunes along the beach. This will be its first line of defense if another storm of Sandy’s magnitude attacks the shore unexpectedly.

Aside from those volunteering in Sea Bright, about thirty AT&T employees helped in the renovation of Union Beach, NJ homes that had been damaged.
