Keep your eyes on the road and not on your cell phone while driving!

If you’re one of the 39 million Americans that will be hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday (according to AAA’s research), then you should be extra careful. The National Safety Council estimates that texting while driving causes more than 200,000 vehicle crashes each year. And no text is worth the risk… It Can Wait.

Talk to your loved ones about staying safe during their holiday travels this year because research shows speaking up makes a difference. A ConnectSafely.org survey sponsored by AT&T found that:

  • 78% of teen drivers say they’re likely not to text and drive if friends tell them it's wrong or stupid.
  • 90% say they’d stop if a friend in the car asked them to.
  • 93% would stop if a parent in the car asked them to.
  • 44% say that they would be thankful if a passenger complained about their texting while driving.

Have a safe holiday!
