Jordan Spieth’s Epic Battle with National Spelling Bee Champ

The challenge for AT&T Athlete Jordan Spieth this week wasn’t the golf course. It came in the form of 13-year-old National Spelling Bee Co-Champion, Jairam Hathwar.

Following Jairam’s win at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May, Jordan heard that golf was Jairam’s favorite sport; and that he was his favorite player. So, he invited him out to this week’s tournament in Jairam’s home state of New York – and to participate in a friendly competition.

As part of the unique connection, we created the first spelling bee challenge between two titans of spelling and sport…coming together for an epic faceoff.
