New Position Responsible for Expanding U-verse® with AT&T GigaPowerSM

MIAMI, June 22AT&T* is gearing up for the official launch of U-verse with AT&T GigaPower in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area with a new leader – Ariana Johar.

Johar is responsible for coordinating AT&T’s efforts to raise awareness and inform customers about the benefits of having access to ultra-fast Internet through the AT&T GigaPower network.

“U-verse with AT&T GigaPower delivers Internet speeds and services unlike anything most local customers have seen,” said Joe York, president, AT&T Florida. “I look forward to working with Ariana to ensure residents and small businesses understand its potential to improve quality of life, increase educational opportunities, and spur on economic development.” 

With AT&T GigaPower, customers are able to download 25 songs in less than a second or load their favorite HD movie in less than 36 seconds. U-verse with AT&T GigaPower customers will have access to Internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second and AT&T’s award-winning U-verse TV and Voice services.** The services operates on a 100 percent fiber network.

Johar joined AT&T in 2011 with experience from IBM and Intel.  She’s held key roles at AT&T focusing on product management, program execution, sales management and product strategy.

The success of the first AT&T GigaPower market in Austin in 2013 has led to a major expansion of services.  AT&T plans to expand its 100 percent fiber network to single-family homes and multifamily living units in up to 25 markets.

Areas where U-verse with AT&T GigaPower has officially launched, or where plans to launch the service have been announced, include: Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Cupertino, Dallas, Fort Worth, Greensboro, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Miami, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham,   St. Louis, San Antonio and Winston-Salem.
