Win Sets the Stage for AT&T to have a Key Role in the Future of Public Sector Technology Modernization

AT&T* won a place on the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) technology purchasing program. The new contract with GSA allows AT&T to offer advanced technology solutions to federal agencies that can help them stay ahead of technology trends, innovate and improve upon the way they deliver their missions.

EIS is a technology acquisition program that federal agencies use to purchase telecommunications and advanced technologies from GSA-authorized technology providers. The contract ceiling is $50 billion over 15 years. It succeeds GSA’s Networx, Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 and local telecom services contracts. These programs phase out in 2020.

EIS supports the technology needs of about 53 federal agency customers. These customers include 8,000 sub-agencies and 16,000 customer accounts.

“It’s an honor to help agencies modernize their communications technologies,” said Kay Kapoor, President, AT&T Global Public Sector. “Through EIS, we can help them usher in the future of efficient, impactful government with our innovations in networking, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT and mobility.”

AT&T Global Public Sector serves government and education customers. We offer advanced technologies and communications capabilities. Our scope includes customers in federal, state, local and international markets. Global Public Sector sales totaled $14.8 billion in 2016.
