Frost & Sullivan Recognizes AT&T for Leadership in Internet and Video Services

DALLAS, JAN. 26, 2015 — Frost & Sullivan this week recognized AT&T U-verse®* with three awards for its leadership in Internet and video services and its offering of bundled options that cater to customers.
Frost & Sullivan recognized AT&T** for its leadership in high-speed Internet services, awarding the company the 2015 North American Competitive Strategy and Innovation Leadership of the Year Award for Broadband. The analyst firm praised AT&T for its “aggressive pursuit of higher bandwidth access” for customers through its U-verse with AT&T GigaPowerSM initiative.
For the third time since 2009, Frost & Sullivan named AT&T U-verse TV the 2015 North American Company of the Year for Multichannel Video for its growth, innovation, and leadership excellence. AT&T also received the 2015 North American Company of the Year for Consumer Communication Services.
“AT&T separates itself from its competition by investing in new technology, meeting the needs of its customers, and providing a valuable service at a reasonable cost,” said Gina Villanueva, Frost & Sullivan information and communication technologies analyst. “AT&T offers customers’ options – increasing what they can watch on Wi-Fi enabled devices inside and outside their home. Giving customers what they want is what keeps AT&T growing at a faster rate than its competitors.

For the Consumer Communication Services honor, Frost & Sullivan noted AT&T focuses on “meeting the needs of its customers through a reliable network, providing a seamless customer experience, and offering a variety of bundled options to cater to all customers,” including TV, home phone, broadband, and wireless service.
AT&T U-verse offers customers the freedom to watch hit TV shows virtually anywhere, using a TV, computer, tablet or smartphone. It also offers access to extensive HD channels, fast Internet speeds and money-saving bundles of services. Customers can view over 200 live TV channels and thousands of On Demand content on more than 30 mobile devices through the U-verse App. They can also go to U-verse.com and stream more than 300,000 TV shows, movies, sports and more at no extra charge.

The rankings are the latest honor for AT&T U-verse. U-verse TV was named Frost & Sullivan's Video Company of the Year in 2013 and 2014 for excellence in customer value, innovation and growth. AT&T U-verse recently received the Women's Choice Award for “America’s Most Recommended Brand among women for Broadband, Television and Phone Service Provider.” U-verse apps have received many honors from industry analysts and organizations. The U-verse KIDS! app received top honors in 2014 for Best Entertainment App from the American Business Awards and the International Business Awards, and was also the winner of “Most Innovative Design or User Interface” for the 2014 Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television. The AT&T U-verse Easy Remote app has been recognized with an Access Award from the American Foundation for the Blind, the TelcoTV Vision Award for “Best Innovation in Consumer Viewing Experiences” and the TV Connect Award for “Best TV App.”
