“'CONDOR' Headquarters” Stakes Out Rainey St. with Fully Interactive Activation Featuring Authentic CIA-Experiences

AT&T AUDIENCE Network’s new conspiracy thriller series “CONDOR,” produced by MGM Television and Skydance Television, will make its world premiere at the The South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals. The network will host a screening and panel discussion with series stars Max Irons, Leem Lubany and Bob Balaban, showrunner and executive producer Jason Smilovic and co-executive producer Todd Katzberg at the Vimeo Theater (ACC Exhibit Hall 2) on Sat., March 10 at 6:45 p.m. 

“CONDOR” is also taking over 78 Rainey Street with a fully interactive activation titled “CONDOR Headquarters” where guests will take part in a series of authentic CIA-like experiences utilizing physical and digital technology tactics. Visitors will undergo authentic skills tests including RFID Technology, EEG Biometric (lie detection), Rear Projection and Touch Display technology (environmental analysis). This will help them determine if they are a high-level agent or on the wanted list. Fans will also have a chance to win prizes and view exclusive content from “CONDOR.” Below is a sneak-peek into what guests can experience at the “'CONDOR' Headquarters” @ SXSW:

  • Recruitment: Attendees register to become an agent and get personalized CONDOR agent credentials to start their training.
  • Linguistics Testing: Utilizing voice modulation techniques, recruits will be required to demonstrate how they can protect their identity as an undercover agent in the field.
  • Environmental Analysis: Utilizing a cutting edge plexi glass projector installation, we will test recruits’ observation and memory skills by recalling items of interest that they may have seen throughout the activation.
  • Interrogation: Recruits will be connected to a high tech biometric system to see how they perform under pressure and begin the final stage of their skills test.

“CONDOR” will premiere on AT&T AUDIENCE Network on Wednesday, June 6 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT and is based on the novel “Six Days of the Condor” by James Grady and screenplay “Three Days of the Condor” by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and David Rayfiel. The spy thriller series will follow a young CIA analyst (Max Irons) who stumbles onto a terrible but brilliant plan that threatens the lives of millions. Teleplay by Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg, “CONDOR” stars Max Irons, William Hurt, Leem Lubany, Angel Bonanni, Kristen Hager, with Mira Sorvino, and Bob Balaban; special guest star Brendan Fraser. Smilovic serves as showrunner and executive producer for the series.
