Premiering Exclusively on DIRECTV CINEMA® a Month Before its Release in Theaters

DIRECTV, now part of the AT&T* family, is offering customers exclusive access to “The Hallow, a dark, supernatural thriller just in time for Halloween.  DIRECTV customers can watch “The Hallow” through Nov. 4 on DIRECTV CINEMA— one month prior to its release in theaters on Nov. 6.

“The Hallow” debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival from filmmaker Corin Hardy and writer Felipe Marino.

“The Hallow” is the story of London conservationist Adam (Joseph Mawle from “Game of Thrones”) and his wife Clare (Bojana Novakovic). They move with their infant son to a remote house near the Irish forest.

The family soon finds their new neighbors unwelcoming. They discover a gruesome “zombie fungus” growing in the house. The nearby woods spew forth a terrifying array of folkloric banshees, baby snatchers and demons. The film is awash in the otherworldly atmosphere of a dark fairy tale. “The Hallow” cleverly toys with horror film conventions while showing some of the most terrifying creatures in years.

“We’re unleashing ‘The Hallow’, the latest thriller to come out of Sundance, exclusively to our customers before it hits theaters,” said Hanny Patel, senior director, Revenue & Product Marketing, DIRECTV.  “It’s a brilliantly dark film and quite the scare-fest.”

“The Hallow” will be available for 72-hour rental, in 1080p HD (Blu-ray format) for $10.99 and in standard-definition (SD) for $9.99. DIRECTV CINEMA is a premium pay-per-view movie service for DIRECTV that brings customers exclusive access to select new releases before they’re in theaters. It includes a library with thousands of movies to watch instantly with DIRECTV On Demand.
