AT&T Puts Google Gemini AI to Work for Smarter Home Security

AT&T Connected Life is the first home security product built on the intelligence of the Google Home Platform with Gemini. Smarter home security doesn’t begin with another gadget. It begins with what connects everything behind the scenes, so your system can do more without asking more of you.

Peace of mind comes from knowing routine details are handled, alerts are meaningful and you only need to step in when it matters. As connectivity powers more of life at home, we believe the home network can go beyond simply connecting security devices to help them work together more intuitively.

That’s the thinking behind AT&T Connected Life, which brings security equipment and monitoring into one mobile experience engineered by AT&T. Building on that foundation, we’ve launched new capabilities designed to make the home more active, more intuitive and more useful in everyday life, taking more pressure off the person so the technology can quietly do more of the work in the background.

With Built-In Gemini for Home to Cut Through the Noise

AT&T Connected Life recently became the first home security product integrating the advanced capabilities of Google Home Premium, as part of our home security offering to new customers. Powered by Gemini for Home, Connected Life cuts through notification overload and makes home activity more relevant and easier to understand. Rather than relying on simple alerts, Gemini provides detailed, natural language information about home events like deliveries, number and size of items, who made the delivery, and who else might have come to the door.1 With Searchable Video History, customers can search recorded video history using conversational questions like, “What dug up the yard last night?” or “Who let the dogs out?”1 Instead of scrolling through a timeline, Connected Life gives customers a daily Home Brief, summarizing  hours of video and household activity into one readable narrative.1

In addition, we’re now including 24/7 continuous video recording, giving Connected Life customers the ability to review footage beyond event clips, bringing peace of mind day and night.2

While these AI features help you better understand what’s happening in and around your home, my team is already rethinking what’s possible by expanding awareness beyond security cameras.

Engineering the Network to Make Your Life Easier

The keypad used to be the center of home security. Today, most people would rather have the convenience of managing their system from the device already in their hands.

We see an opportunity to take convenience a step further by putting the AT&T network to work for you. Today, Connected Life can automatically arm or disarm your home based on your geographic proximity to it, without even having to touch your phone. Next, we are actively exploring how AT&T Wi-Fi signals already in your home can make proximity and occupancy sensing easier, safer, and more secure than ever.

And this is only the beginning. We’ll continue exploring network-based sensing capabilities that transform connectivity into awareness.

More Awareness is on the Way

With these updates, and those on the way, Connected Life is transforming the AT&T network from something that simply connects your home into something that can help protect it. And we’re just getting started.
