AT&T was ranked as an HACR CII 5 star company in the areas of employment, procurement and philanthropy. This is part of a comprehensive survey that began in 2009 to evaluate Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America, led by the HACR Research Institute.

This index helps organizations understand gaps in demographic representation and measures which companies are driving internal change through D&I solutions.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America (2010-2013, 2017-2021)
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America is based on a rigorous analysis of long-term environmental, social and economic criteria. Only firms that lead their industry based on this annual assessment are selected for inclusion.
JUST Capital – JUST 100 (2016-2021)
The JUST 100 ranking is based on data from participant surveys and feedback from >50k members of the public about ethical business practices. AT&T was ranked #1 in telecoms and #8 overall in 2021.
Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies (2019)
AT&T was ranked #100 among Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies. This ranking is based on demonstrated responsibility in 5 key stakeholder categories: shareholders, employees, customers, community and planet.
Business Intelligence Group Green Company of the Year Award (2018)
The awards are judged by a panel of business leaders and honor companies who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice. AT&T won the 2018 Green Company of the Year award for our commitment to renewable energy investments and energy-savings projects across our business.
Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (2018-2021)
AT&T was one of over 100 companies from ten sectors headquartered in 24 countries and regions named to the inaugural 2018 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), and we were proud to again be recognized in 2021. The index measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings.
Calvert U.S. Large Cap Core Responsible Index Fund (2012-2014, 2017-2021)
AT&T is a constituent of the Calvert U.S. Large Cap Core Responsible Index Fund, which tracks corporate sustainability progress as well as financial indicators.
CDP Climate Change Leadership Tier (FY 2016-2021)
The CDP climate change program recognizes companies that have demonstrated strong internal data management practices for the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions and energy use. AT&T has disclosed fiscal year climate change information to CDP since 2005 -- and from 2016 through 2021, earned an A-, scoring in the “Leadership Tier.” AT&T’s most recent CDP Climate Change response is available here.

Our sustainable storytelling initiatives have been recognized by the Environmental Media Association (EMA), a nonprofit dedicated to promoting environmental progress in the entertainment industry. The EMA acknowledged these efforts in 2020 with 18 EMA Gold Seals and 18 EMA Green Seals for progress in sustainable production and 7 EMA Award nominations, including 3 wins, for environmental messaging in content.

NASDAQ CRD Global Sustainability Index (2015-2020)
The Nasdaq CRD Global Sustainability Index is designed to track the performance of companies that are taking a leadership role in sustainability performance reporting. These companies have voluntarily disclosed their carbon footprint, energy usage, water consumption, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, employee safety, workforce diversity, management composition and community investing.
Points of Light, The Civic 50 (2012-2021)
An initiative of Points of Light, The Civic 50 recognizes the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States each year as determined by an annual survey. By benchmarking and celebrating best practices, it provides a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.
