For example, in just a few days this summer, the M2M/CD team prototyped a unique Wi-Fi antenna enclosure for AT&T Stadium seats closest to the field. The enclosures – 3D printed in part at the AT&T Foundry – will improve the wireless experience during stadium events. Our Wi-Fi experts are installing those systems now. Soon, streaming or downloading video and sharing the fan experience from your mobile device will be better than ever.
Innovating quickly is standard procedure for AT&T Foundry Director Craig Lee and his team. M2M/CD engineers and software developers mocked up and built a “smart” recycle bin in just five days, going from an idea and a plain plastic bin to a fully connected, beeping, tamper-resistant prototype that sends data to the cloud. The bin can wirelessly alert a dispatcher when it’s full and, just as important, when it’s not, saving unnecessary trips.
