Bobbling Back to Pebble Beach in 4K HDR
Hey there, remember me? I’m #ATTAthlete Jordan Spieth’s bobblehead alter ego. I first showed up at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am back in 2016. Now, I’m back and ready to help Jordan defend his title at this year’s Pro-Am.
In honor of Jordan’s 2017 championship, AT&T is giving away bobbleheads just like me to the first 5,000 fans through the tournament gates Saturday. This time around, I’m holding a trophy much like the one Jordan took home last year. Can’t make it to Pebble Beach? Just share the link to this blog on Twitter and tag #ATTProAm.
I know you all can’t be here in person, so I want to tell you about the next-best thing: 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR). It’s the clearest television picture I’ve ever seen, and my friends from AT&T will be offering the 4K HDR broadcast of holes 7, 17, 18 on DIRECTV channel 105 all four rounds of the tournament. Click here to learn how you can enjoy it.
AT&T has sponsored the Pro-Am since 1986 – 7 years before Jordan was born. It’s the second-longest continuous title sponsorship on the PGA TOUR. Under the direction of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, the tournament has awarded more than $135 million since 1937 for deserving Monterey-area organizations. Last year, the foundation donated a record $12.8 million to local charities.
I’ll be spending most of my time here this week at the AT&T FanDome, which is back for a second year. Inside, you can check out a great film about Jordan’s journey called Jordan Spieth: The Course of Life. It looks at everything he’s accomplished so far and makes us wonder about what’s to come. You’ll also see live 360 VR video from holes 1 and 18, DIRECTV 4K HDR coverage and content from The Dan Patrick Show. Additionally, there’s a special VR experience that shows you the consequences of driving distracted. You’re never alone on the road, even when you’re alone in the car. Don’t drive distracted and join Jordan and me in support of the It Can Wait movement here.
