AT&T Film Awards Contest Seeks Top Behind-the-Camera Talent

Are you a rising filmmaker ready to show the world your talent? If so, we’re looking for you! We want to help bring your passion project to life.

The AT&T Film Awards is an open competition seeking imaginative, undiscovered short films from aspiring creators who want their voices heard.

Submissions are now open for the 5th edition of the AT&T Film Awards. We will accept submissions through December 7, 2018. Finalists will be notified on December 21. Winners will be announced in mid-January.

Enter for a chance to win a share of $60K in prizes. Categories for the 5th edition of the competition include:

1)      Emerging Filmmakers Awards

  • 1st place prize: $10,000
  • 2nd place prize: $3,000
  • 3rd Place prize: $2,000

2)      Youth Filmmakers Awards

  • Prize: 3 finalists will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the first weekend of the Tribeca Film Festival, as well as training from Fresh Films to coach them on how to best document their Tribeca experience.

3)      Underrepresented Filmmaker Award

  • Prize: $5,000

4)      Best Spanish Language Short – Student

  • Prize: The winner will receive a scholarship to attend the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts Summer 2019 program, including a meeting with a CAA agent. Their short will also air on DIRECTV in Latin America.

5)      Best Short – Shot On Mobile

  • Prize: $5,000

6)      Best VR/AR/MR Project

  • Prize: $5,000

The AT&T Film Awards is just one of our competitions for rising creators and filmmakers throughout the year. Others include AT&T Presents: Untold Stories and Create-a-Thon contests in various cities across the country. These competitions have produced nearly 500 short films from rising creators.
