FirstNet Helps Anderson Police Find a Peaceful Resolution in a SWAT Situation
SWAT Situation Turned Peaceful Resolution with the Help of FirstNet®
When a SWAT situation occurred in Anderson, Indiana, police used FirstNet in an innovative way to work toward a peaceful resolution. An armed individual barricaded himself inside a residence, making it difficult to communicate in a traditional manner. Quick thinking officers broke a window and threw a FirstNet Ready™ device inside. Using the Push-to-Talk feature, the brave officers were able to reach a peaceful resolution.
FirstNet is America’s public safety communications platform. We look at FirstNet as the most important wireless network in the country because it’s serving our first responders.
