Walking the halls of any AT&T building, you’ll notice something. The people are diverse. We are a company where Every Voice Matters—where everyone’s differences are authentically embraced, valued and vital to our business inside and out. That's why we’ve climbed 3 spots to No. 4 on the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity List. We also held on to the top spot on the supplier diversity specialty list and climbed to the No. 1 spot on both the Employee Resource Groups and Recruiting specialty lists.

“It’s always wonderful when an authority in the diversity and inclusion space honors us for walking the talk,” said Cynthia Marshall, senior vice president and chief diversity officer. “Diversity and inclusion are essential to our culture and our success. It drives innovation by allowing a wide range of viewpoints to be heard and considered.”

AT&T also ranked on the following specialty lists:

  • No. 6 Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees
  • No. 4 Top 10 Companies for Mentoring
  • No. 5 Top 10 Companies for Veterans

DiversityInc measures companies based on four key areas of performance: talent pipeline, equitable talent development, CEO/leadership commitment and supplier diversity. The industry-leading publication revealed the rankings at a dinner in New York City on April 19.  More than 1,600 public and privately held companies competed.
