An expected 50,000 people are heading to both Cleveland and Philadelphia for the 2016 Presidential Conventions. That’s an entire city’s population in places like Chambersburg, Pa. or Coral Gables, Fla.

We anticipate historic levels of data usage.

Everyone will be on the network sharing social posts, photos, videos and more from mobile devices. And we want to make it easier for convention-goers to share their experiences.

We’ve been working hard over the past year to provide one of the best wired, wireless and video experiences for you. And our preparations are ongoing. They include both permanent and temporary network upgrades to give you better coverage at the conventions and beyond.

We invested $23 million in mostly permanent network upgrades prior to the Pope’s visit last year to support the convention in Philadelphia.

And those in Cleveland will see better connectivity too.

We’ve tripled our 4G capacity.

We’ll have 8 distributed antennas to improve coverage and capacity. And we’re adding 165 LTE upgrades to let you download and upload those videos on social media faster.
