Looking to add a little country spice to your Winter? We have just what you need.

The interactive Country Deep™ application only on AT&T U-verse® is putting the spotlight on female country music artists through its new Women in Country section.

Women in Country will highlight rising stars, like up-and-coming country music artist RaeLynn, and iconic leading ladies, like country music legend Faith Hill.  Both women are featured in the app this month.

AT&T U-verse created Country Deep because we know that country music fans want new and unique country music TV entertainment. And given the large number of country music fans in our U-verse service area, we see this as a great opportunity to give them the entertainment they crave.

Working with various record labels, we’re growing the audience for the country artists by bringing their music and videos to our U-verse customers. Each month, we feature artists with a dedicated playlist and prominent section within Country Deep. There, fans can find music videos, live performances and behind the scenes clips.

RaeLynn kicked off December with a look at the making of the music video for her Top 20-and-rising debut single “God Made Girls.” The video has garnered nearly 6 million views.  Highlights on Country Deep include her debut music video, exclusive acoustic performances and interviews and much more.

The featured icon for December is Faith Hill, who has established herself as one of the music industry’s top vocalists. She is the only female artist to have her last three studio albums debut consecutively at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Pop Album Chart and Country Chart.

In November, we brought you Reba, who has earned 35 No.1 singles and sold over 56 million albums worldwide, earning her a spot in the upper echelon of No. 1 albums in the country music genre.

November also highlighted Maddie & Tae, who were cited by Rolling Stone as one of “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” for any genre. Their debut single “Girl In A Country Song” earned the duo their first No. 1, which has also been certified Gold. Maddie & Tae will release their next single, “Fly,” in January 2015 on Dot Records.

Next we’re kicking off 2015 with rising star Katie Armiger who holds the distinction of being the “most-charted Indie female in country music history” with seven singles. Our iconic spotlight will fall on Shania Twain, who remains the top-selling female country artist of all time with 75 million albums sold worldwide and U.S. sales topping 34.5 million. She is currently working on her fifth studio album on Mercury Nashville.

In addition, we’re highlighting artists through #WomenInCountry Wednesdays, a social effort on our Twitter channel – @CountryDeepTV – that posts across the artist’s and AT&T’s social channels each week. The posts drive fans to highlighted videos on Country Deep and the artists ask them to participate in such weekly topics as “Who are your biggest female artist influences?” and “What’s the first album you ever purchased?”
