Do you know someone who owns or works at a small business? Chances are, you do. Small business owners are our friends and neighbors. Half of all Americans either work at or own a small business. Small businesses create 2 out of every 3 jobs per year in the U.S. They’re critical to our economy.

That’s why I am happy to share with you that May 1-7 is National Small Business Week! Starting in 1963, President Kennedy, and every president since, has signed a Presidential Proclamation to set aside 1 week a year to honor and celebrate America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Every day this week, I’ll be blogging about what it means for a small business to be agile. I’ll share the stories of our customers constantly adapting to move forward. Look toward the bottom of the page for a list of links, we will be posting a blog each day this week.

We have a lot of exciting activities in the works for the week. Follow us on social media for awesome offers, resources for SMB owners and more. You can find us on att.com/smallbizweek.  And don’t forget – show your appreciation this week by shopping at local small businesses.
