You know that old saying, “when opportunity knocks”? Soon thousands of students across the U.S. and Mexico will be knocking on opportunity’s door.

HACEMOS, an AT&T Employee Resource Group (ERG) that supports Hispanic/Latino employees and their communities, will host 3,000 students during its 19th Annual High Technology Day. The multi-city event takes place on Feb. 23 in 35 cities across the U.S. and Mexico. Students will learn about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), explore AT&T Labs, and more.

The theme for this year’s National High Technology Day is “STEM to the Future/STEM para el Futuro.” It reflects the importance of diversity in STEM careers. This subject hits home for former High Technology Day volunteer and incoming AT&T employee Emely Vidella-Principe. She shared her thoughts in a recent interview.
