Hackers from near and far are flocking to Santa Clara, Calif. to participate in this weekend’s Connected Car themed Mobile App Hackathon, produced by the AT&T Developer Program. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. PDT, attendees will kick off their mobile app build to compete for prizes across different categories.

AT&T hackathons are a great way to meet new people and scout for those coding wizards who could be future teammates. Our events also introduce the latest cutting edge tools to help seasoned developers, students and aspiring entrepreneurs create a viable app prototype that could be launched into the market within a 24-hour timeframe. Next week, we will report back with details on this weekend’s hackathon winners.

In September – timed with Super Mobility Week powered by CTIA – we’re hosting a Code for Car & Home hackathon in Las Vegas. Numerous prizes and unique opportunities will be available for a few hundred anticipating participants. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months, and, in the meantime, registration is available here.

The next hackathon will be on Friday, July 11 in Houston and the main focus will be on building apps to help the disabled community. For the complete hackathon schedule, check out the AT&T Developer Program website.
