Black History Month is a time to honor the past and an opportunity to look forward and make history happen. This month, AT&T 28 Days is bringing together twelve dedicated people, looking to leave their mark on history by giving back to the community.

These twelve individuals have been chosen to form three teams, completing weekly challenges that support the mission of three non-profit organizations with which they are working:

Hip-hop pioneer MC Lyte, technology entrepreneur and journalist Wayne Sutton, and Olympic Gold Medalist Sanya Richards-Ross are guiding each team, as they spend Black History Month supporting important community causes.

Meet the teams. Follow the journey. Support the cause.

Each team is earning points for completing weekly challenges and building awareness for their cause across their social media networks. The team with the most points at the end of the month wins $20,000, with each winning team member being awarded $5,000, for making history happen in the community. To meet each team, and find out how to support the mission of their organization, follow their progress at att.com/28days, and share their videos on social media using the team hashtags - #28DaysWriteGirl, #28DaysODALC and #28DaysAAULYP.

Make your own history.

This month, fans can also win prizes by participating in their own weekly community challenges. To learn more about the weekly challenges, fans can go to att.com/28Days, and enter on social media using the hashtag #28DaysFanChallenge.
