AT&T Ranks #1 in Telecom in Fortune’s Most Admired Companies for Fourth Year in a Row

AT&T has earned the top spot in the telecommunications industry on FORTUNE’s Most Admired Companies list. And we’ve done it for the fourth consecutive year.

We ranked #49 among the 50 most admired companies across all industries. This is the fifth year in a row FORTUNE has placed us among the 50 most admired companies in the world.

The list is one of the most respected indicators of companies’ performance and reputation.

FORTUNE and The Hay Group survey executives and directors from FORTUNE 1000 and Global Foundation as well as financial analysts to create the lists.

They rate companies on several attributes to compile the list. We were ranked first or second in all nine attributes We earned top marks in the telecom industry in innovation, people management, quality of management, long-term investment value, quality of products/services and global competitiveness.

We also ranked high among competitors in use of corporate assets, social responsibility and financial soundness.
