Spring is upon us, which means our Global Supplier Diversity Mentoring Program is now accepting applications for Operation Hand Salute. This national education and mentoring program provides training to a select group of service-disabled veteran business owners with the goal of improving their business operations and enhancing their ability to win corporate contracts.

In 2012, we joined with John F. Kennedy “JFK” University and helped mentor, educate and offer contract opportunities to 14 service disabled veteran business owners. By the end of 2012, the 14 CEOs saw positive results from attending Operation Hand Salute:

  • Approximately $7 million in contracts were awarded
  • 9 DVBEs participated in RFX requests
  • 13 DVBEs are on-board for potential 2013 AT&T contracts
