AT&T-Lumen Transaction

AT&T agrees to acquire substantially all of Lumen’s Mass Markets fiber internet connectivity business in a deal that’s expected to close in early 2026. Transaction to stimulate investment, expand world-class connectivity in the U.S., create new jobs and make high-speed fiber internet access available to millions of Americans.

  • AT&T is the largest fiber provider in the U.S. and now passes more than 31 million fiber locations in 100+ metro areas as of Sept. 30, 2025.
  • By the end of 2030, we expect to reach 60 million+ total locations3 with fiber.
  • As of Dec. 31, 2024, we had 9.3 million AT&T Fiber consumer subscribers and have added 1 million, or more, net adds for 7 consecutive years (2018 - 2024).
