Our thoughts are with those impacted by the recent wildfires in Georgia. To help our wireless customers stay connected through this difficult time, we are waiving overage charges to provide unlimited talk, text and data for AT&T Postpaid & Prepaid customers with billing addresses in zip codes* across affected areas.

Customers in these areas may still receive alerts during these dates, but accounts will reflect the credits and/or waived data, voice and text charges.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in Florida and Georgia. We’re continuing to monitor the situation closely, and our wireless network remains up and running across impacted areas.

We have network teams on standby and ready to respond to any impacts, if needed. Additionally, we’ve optimized settings at cell sites in the impact areas to help minimize potential service disruptions during high demand periods. 

To further support emergency communications for first responders on the front lines, the FirstNet Response Operations Group™ (ROG) has deployed a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Cell Trailer (LCT) in Brantley County, GA. This team, led by former first responders, is working around the clock to support public safety’s emergency communications and has liaisons engaged with local, state and federal agencies.

We continue to closely monitor the performance of our network and are embedded directly within the local Emergency Operations Center, collaborating alongside officials to help ensure rapid response.

As a reminder to our wireless customers in Georgia, we’re waiving talk, text, and data overage charges. This includes AT&T Postpaid & Prepaid customers with billing addresses across 32 zip codes* from April 24, 2026 through May 8, 2026. As always, we remain focused on helping to keep first responders, our customers and their families connected.

Utilize satellite communications if cellular coverage is not available.

If your iPhone 14 or newer is updated to iOS 18 you may be able to send messages and connect with emergency services via satellite. If you have a Google Pixel 9 you may be able to connect with emergency services through text via satellite.
