Since buying 2wireless companies for nearly $4.4 billion in 2015, we’ve committed to invest another $3 billion to build our network and expand our presence in Mexico by the end of 2018. Today, our high-speed 4G LTE network covers more than 96 million people – 80% of the country’s population.
Our network is the most reliable voice and data network in Mexico on a composite basis.
And we now offer our LTE-M network in Mexico. This network will allow for large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) deployments – like smart utility meters and wearables. In 2017, we signed two smart cities collaboration agreements with Mexico City and the state of Quintana Roo—our first in Mexico.
We’ve also increased distribution across the country to match our network reach. And we opened a one-of-a-kind Enterprise Experience Center for business customers in the country.
