SKY Expands its Educational Escola+ Project, Providing Ophthalmological Exams for More than 3,000 Children in the Brazilian City of Jaguariúna

SKY, in partnership with local NGOs Atados and Renovatio, is rolling out the philanthropic project "Ver Bem" (Good Vision) in the city of Jaguariúna, in the Brazilian State of Sao Paulo. The initiative aims to improve the quality of life of 3,440 students from public schools that participate in the Escola+ program.
The project kicked off on February 25 in 12 schools in the city, including students from 1st to 5th grade. In the first stage, students pre-registered at the school to take Visual Acuity tests. The tests will be administered starting March 18. Children who present vision problems or are already wearing glasses, will be directed to individual consultations, beginning April 8. Those who have simpler problems, such as myopia, will receive new glasses within an hour. Those who present a more complex diagnosis, such as astigmatism, will receive the glasses in up to 30 days. Teachers will also be trained to identify potential vision problems in their students.
