AT&T Returns to the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for New Culinary Experience and Entertainment Hotspot on Main Street
DIRECTV Lodge Presented by AT&T Includes Pop-Up Dining Experience With Jon & Vinny’s Italian Restaurant, Variety Studio and More
AT&T* is returning as the official Multichannel Video Programming Distributor sponsor of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and is bringing back the highly-acclaimed DIRECTV Lodge. AT&T and DIRECTV will once again take over Heber & Main on Main Street in Park City Jan. 25-28, 2019 for an all-new, redesigned culinary meets entertainment hotspot for filmmakers and talent called DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T.
The DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T will host The Variety Studio again this year, featuring interviews and portraits with some of the festival’s top A-list actors and filmmakers. AT&T and DIRECTV will also host daily lunches for celebrities and tastemakers, premiere parties, industry panels and cast dinners for some of the festival’s most buzzed about titles. The DIRECTV Lodge will feature Italian favorites from Jon & Vinny’s Italian Restaurant, the famed Los Angeles restaurant from James Beard Award-winning owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo.
“AT&T is passionate about arts, innovation, entertainment and community, and we look forward to Sundance each year to explore these key areas,” said Tim Gibson, vice president, Video & Application Marketing. “The films we’ve secured out of the festival have been excellent additions to our DIRECTV CINEMA platform, and DIRECTV Lodge serves as the hub for all of the excitement in Park City.”
DIRECTV and AT&T have become a film festival staple with their entertainment industry hubs popping up at Sundance with the DIRECTV Lodge, Film Independent Spirit Awards with the DIRECTV Bungalow and at Toronto International Film Festival with the DIRECTV House.
DIRECTV Lodge guests will have access to high-speed Wi-Fi and the DIRECTV app and content through tablets, phones and TVs.
Since 2012, DIRECTV has been co-financing films for VOD/PPV platforms and will be active again this year in selecting films for co-financing at the Sundance Film Festival.
