How people use technology matters. Knowing the risks of texting while driving or how to use the Internet safely at any age can help us make better choices. We're meeting the diverse needs of technology consumers and fostering a workplace that supports all employees' needs.
7 out of 10 people engage in smartphone activities while driving. Learn about the dangers of texting and driving and take the pledge at http://itcanwait.com.
People admit to doing everything from sending a text to taking a selfie while behind the wheel. As the It Can Wait® campaign expands from a focus on texting to include all smartphone driving distractions, it’s clear that the need to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving is greater than ever. Take the pledge to join the millions who pledged to never text, post, like or email behind the wheel. You could save a life.

As we raise awareness, we also look to innovators to help balance the smartphone features we enjoy with safety considerations. Tools like the AT&T DriveMode® app, which silences incoming text message alerts so you can stay focused while driving, can help break distracted driving habits for good.

The actions we take locally can create a ripple effect across the globe. Working with the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women, the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS program provides female entrepreneurs from Rwanda and Afghanistan with the skills they need to start their own businesses. The women of AT&T serve as active volunteers for the program each year when the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS entrepreneurs come to the United States for a week-long training. The mentoring they receive instills knowledge and confidence they need to grow their businesses, so they can pass on what they learn to other women in their communities.
Our customers and our employees have diverse needs. AT&T’s Corporate Accessibility and Technology Office safeguards accessibility by working to ensure that products comply with regulations, raising awareness, providing training on disability-related issues and promoting outreach to the disability community.
