This is the week we’ve been waiting for – we are finally back in Augusta to defend our Masters Champion title.

Augusta National is a special place. In fact, it’s my favorite place. There’s nothing like it. You look around and everything is just so perfect. Every blade of grass. Every grain of sand. Every leaf. And of course, every green.

It seems cliché to say the next-best thing to being here is watching on TV. But in this case, it’s very true. This week, AT&T is delivering the first-ever live 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) broadcast in the United States on DIRECTV. If you have 4K UHD equipment and DIRECTV, you can watch Amen Corner at roughly 4X the resolution of HDTV. (See below for more viewing options.)

AT&T will debut a new “Your Network” commercial featuring members of my team. We filmed the commercial earlier this year in my hometown of Dallas and it was a blast. What you see in the commercial is how important it is for me to stay connected during my travels.

My team members are not all on the green with me during a big putt, but AT&T keeps me connected with everyone anywhere I go. My coach and I dissect my swing using video on our phones. My family and I are always calling and texting. And I’m constantly keeping up with the Dallas Cowboys games on my devices. When you’re on the road, it’s easy to take the network for granted. I have ultimate trust that AT&T will keep us connected.

The commercial also provides insight into why I always say “we” when talking about our team’s success in golf. “We” is a very real thing to me. It’s my family, my caddie, my coach, my management team. It’s my sponsors like AT&T. The “we” has helped enable me to prepare effectively to return to the Masters.

AT&T is also bringing back a commercial we debuted during last year’s Masters. It’s a reminder to keep your eyes on the road, not your phone, when driving. As important as our phones are to our team, it’s never safe for us to use them when we’re behind the wheel. Remember: It Can Wait.

That’s all from Augusta for now. Hope you tune in this week. Be sure to look for us, I’ll be standing next to the AT&T golf bag.

Masters viewing options: DIRECTV customers will have access to an exclusive six-screens-in-one HD Masters Mosaic channel, complete with leader board, scorecard, groups, tee times and player bios. Anyone on-the-go can use the DIRECTV App to catch the latest round and U-verse customers can watch up to four feeds at once with U-verse Multiview or see the action live at Uverse.com/Masters or with the U-verse App.
