At AT&T, we work to provide access to equitable opportunities that help provide pathways to equality for all, connecting communities and people to greater possibility. We know that when people have access – to education, economic empowerment, and an inclusive workplace environment – the door to opportunity opens.

We connect people to greater possibility, it’s what we do. This includes ensuring everyone has an opportunity to benefit from using online resources. In 2021, AT&T made a 3-year $2 billion commitment to help close the digital divide, through low-cost broadband offers, network expansion, and charitable contributions.
Lack of online resources to underserved and unserved communities lead to negative impacts on education, economic and professional success. Our efforts to narrow this gap, include focusing on access, affordability, and adoption.

We’re committed to building the workforce of the future that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
In December 2020, AT&T joined more than 30 leading companies in committing to OneTen, a coalition to break down barriers to success by hiring one million Black Americans without 4-year degrees in family-sustaining jobs in the next ten years, to help solve systemic problems and close gaps that impact the individuals and communities that we serve.
We also continue to support workforce readiness programs like YouthBuild, Year Up and Jobs for America’s Graduates and recruit talent from HBCUs and HSIs.

Together with our employees, we launched AT&T BelievesSM, a company-wide localized effort to create positive change in our communities. We have been in these communities for over 140 years, but we took a different approach that started with the city of Chicago in 2018.
