Sitcoms and soaps were must-see TV for the typical girl growing up in 1980s Orange County, California. But for Catherine Gonzalez Pack and her two sisters, it was rallying around the television set with their Uruguayan-born parents, cheering on Uruguay’s national soccer team.

Today, Catherine is assistant vice president of video operations at AT&T’s Los Angeles Broadcast Center. This is where NFL SUNDAY TICKET programming is produced and broadcast exclusively on DIRECTV.

Catherine’s love of sports was instilled by her father, who had no sons to bond with over local and international sports. She never imagined that her passion for football, soccer and baseball would lead to a career that skews heavily toward men.

More than 50% of Americans follow professional football, and Super Bowl games are among the most watched broadcasts in the U.S. DIRECTV’s NFL programming is one way the company is tackling its goal of producing and assembling world-class content.

The RED ZONE CHANNEL, hosted by sportscaster Andrew Siciliano, and the DIRECTV FANTASY ZONE, which carries live fantasy football programming, are available exclusively to NFL SUNDAY TICKET Max subscribers.
