Today AT&T announced that Connected Spaces is now available to enterprise customers, delivered through a go-to-market collaboration with Microsoft Azure to help organizations better connect, analyze, and act on data from their physical environments.
AT&T Connected Spaces for Enterprise is an intelligent edge and connectivity platform utilizing Microsoft Azure and Azure AI to bring together equipment, sensors, cameras, and devices into a single, highly secure architecture. This solution enables enterprises to turn near real-time data into actionable insights that improve operations, enhance safety and security, and elevate customer experiences across industries including retail, quick-service restaurants, hospitality, and more.

Intelligent edge meets cloud-scale analytics
AT&T Connected Spaces for Enterprise is built on AT&T’s connectivity and edge capabilities alongside Microsoft’s cloud and AI services to support advanced use cases such as:
- Enhanced customer experience through space utilization analytics, customer traffic insights and queue monitoring.
- Associate efficiency and operational automation by providing equipment uptime and remote management, streamlined workflows and faster troubleshooting.
- Energy optimization via consumption monitoring insights and transparency on automated HVAC, lighting and equipment controls.
- Loss prevention and organized retail crime (ORC) mitigation delivered through AI-driven video and sensor intelligence.
At the core of the solution is an enterprise gateway built on Microsoft Windows technology that serves as a centralized communications and intelligence layer. The SmartHub securely connects devices at the edge, manages data flows, and enables real-time analytics and alerts, while integrating with Azure for deeper analytics and cloud-based insights.
