Don’t have a lot of experience programming Internet of Things (IoT) applications? No problem. The AT&T Foundry aims to get you up and running fast with AT&T Flow Designer. Flow Designer is a cloud-based development tool that lets innovators quickly build IoT applications. The tool uses a drag-and-drop interface and pre-built code to create powerful data flows.
Flow Designer was created by the AT&T Foundry team in Israel and members of our Technology and Operations team in the U.S. Their aim was to build a tool that’s not just fast. It’s also scalable, reliable and highly secure.
The development team at the IoT Foundry in Plano, TX, put those capabilities to the test. They built a simulated IoT system to capture data that a water utility might use at a pumping station.
The system tracked revolutions per minute (RPM), current, voltage and power levels. Flow Designer made it possible to visualize that data in a simple graph form. It also sent different pieces of the data to enterprise customers or directly to water utilities. The Internet of Things is moving fast. Flow Designer is one way developers could keep up.
