AT&T Is a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service Providers Report for Tenth Consecutive Year
DALLAS, April 8, 2014 – AT&T1 today announced that the leading analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has once again positioned AT&T in the Leaders Quadrant of its latest “Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service Providers”2 report.
This report assesses suppliers that can deliver fixed enterprise networking services worldwide. The emphasis is on a vendor’s service quality, pricing and track record, noting that these elements are particularly important for global networks, because the issues of infrastructure, language and cultural problems become more complicated and prolonged than when applicable to only one country.
Suppliers in the leaders quadrant have a full portfolio of voice and data products, coupled with above-average services and support, wide global coverage and competitive pricing. They have a strong vision that includes adopting more information and communication technology (ICT) capabilities, which is a strategy they can articulate clearly and openly.
Gartner states within the report that it looks for a thorough understanding of what clients want in a global provider, which is different from the requirements of a domestic provider, because it inevitably includes third-party elements and frequently includes a wider set of managed services. AT&T strongly feels that network service providers should have a clear and evolving geographic strategy to meet changing customer needs. Providers with class-leading vision should have a clearly articulated strategy and market traction in evolving areas, including SIP trunks, networking for cloud services and APM.
