“You can’t teach girls how to code.” Wrong! Inspiring girls to pursue the fields of science and technology is the primary focus of the national nonprofit, Girls Who Code. This organization seeks to close the gender gap in computer science and technology – an issue that has been receiving much attention by the media in the recent months.

The direction technology is headed, and at the speed it’s going, makes learning how to code just as important as learning 1+2=3. At AT&T and AT&T Foundation, our job is to give kids, girls especially, the tools they need, and the encouragement they require, to learn this important skill.
