AT&T and CSC Deliver Businesses Simplified, Flexible, On-Demand Networking
CSC to Offer AT&T FlexWare to Businesses Worldwide
AT&T* and CSC today announced that they are expanding access to AT&T FlexWare – a solution designed to meet the evolving needs of business. CSC will now offer AT&T FlexWare as its “Virtual Edge” service in its next generation offering portfolio.
AT&T and CSC are empowering businesses with customer-centric solutions through software-defined networking. The companies are working together to deploy the first Systems Integrator provided content into the AT&T FlexWare solution for CSC’s clients. They are also developing a model to include CSC digital services at the edge of the network, where virtual network functions (VNFs) will reside.
AT&T FlexWare lets businesses adapt to their networking needs in near-real time, with easy management of VNFs from a single device. Formerly AT&T Network Functions on Demand, AT&T FlexWare is available globally through the AT&T Network on Demand platform.
“With CSC offering AT&T FlexWare to its customers, we’re gaining a wider reach to help customers be agile and expand their networking capabilities,” said Roman Pacewicz, senior vice president, Offer Management and Service Integration, AT&T Business Solutions. “There is a digital shift changing business for every sector. Working with CSC, we can help businesses keep up in the quickly changing environment.”
This initiative builds on a longstanding alliance between AT&T and CSC. As the relationship continues to grow, the companies will look at new ways to combine strengths to deliver innovative solutions. For example, CSC customers will be able to try AT&T FlexWare before buying.
“This is a big step in our relationship with AT&T, which we have been expanding to support all of the global industries we touch,” said Dan Hushon, chief technology officer, CSC. “Through these new software-defined network services, clients will gain more agility and self-service capabilities. Our alliance with AT&T enables us to deliver value to both our new and existing clients through our industry-leading solutions.”
