Severe Weather can hit without much warning, and it’s most important that we are all ready for anything Mother Nature throws our way. Here’s are a few tips on what you should always remember.

For Your Home:

• Keep your wireless phone batteries charged at all times, and keep your phones dry.
• Have a family communication plan in place in case you are separated when the storm hits.
• Program emergency contact info into your mobile device.
• Forward your home number to your wireless number in case you have to evacuate.
• Track the storm and access weather information on your wireless device through apps, such as The Weather Channel.

For Your Small Business:

• Set up a call-forwarding service to a predetermined backup location, as well as backing up data to the Cloud.
• Give employees detailed plans in case they need to evacuate or shelter in place.

• Assemble a crisis-management team.
