We offer our customers many different ways to protect themselves and their families when using their mobile devices, including AT&T Call Protect, AT&T Mobile Security, and AT&T Secure Family.

Today, all AT&T wireless customers on eligible plans can receive suspected spam and fraud alerts when an incoming call originates from a certain category. These categories include telemarketing, suspected spam and suspected fraud.

This network-based feature is automatically available to AT&T wireless customers with a qualifying device on an eligible plan.

Providing more information at no charge about who is calling so they can make better decisions about when to answer is actually the second line of defense for our customers. We’ve prevented more than 4.4 billion unwanted robocalls and counting from ever reaching consumers’ phones through a program that uses network data analysis to block suspicious activity.

We also offer the free AT&T Call Protect service for eligible wireless and Home Phone customers who want even more protection, including the ability to block calls themselves and manage who can reach them. With AT&T Call Protect, customers can have AT&T automatically block calls from known fraudsters and create their own Personal Block List. A new study by HarrisX recently named AT&T Call Protect best at correctly identifying both spam and non-spam phone calls.
