AT&T recognizes the valuable role sports can play in the development of young girls and the advancement of women as leaders in society. As the marquee partner of the WNBA, we’re building on our commitment to the league and are proud to be an inaugural partner of the WNBA’s Changemakers platform.  Changemakers is a collective of values-driven organizations who want to be at the forefront of lifting women’s sports now and into the future. In partnership with the WNBA, Changemakers have the opportunity to directly invest to impact the issues of highest importance to the players while also transforming the business of the league. As a WNBA Changemaker, we’re designing a program that will use the breadth of our resources – technology services, experts who can provide mentorship across a range of topics, and personal career development resources – to invest in the WNBA’s tremendous athletes and help them grow in their roles, especially off the court.

Ahead of the unique 2020 WNBA Season, AT&T felt it was important to power – and empower – the athletes during these times of change.

To keep players connected, each athlete was given a year of AT&T unlimited service on the latest 5G device – and a year of HBO Max. And – we gathered some of the biggest WNBA fans to wish them good luck.

We are also committed to supporting the next generation of champions through Her Time To Play, a national initiative focused on inspiring girls ages 7-14 to learn and play basketball. AT&T, in partnership with the WNBA and Jr. NBA, hosts Her Time to Play clinics for girls around the country. These clinics pair on-court training with off-court life skills lessons to build girls’ confidence, prepare them for the challenges of adolescence and teach values like teamwork.

With programs like Changemakers & Her Time to Play, AT&T and the WNBA continue to raise the visibility of women's sports, increasing fan engagement now and for the future.
