DiversityInc Names AT&T to Hall of Fame for D&I Leadership
AT&T earns prestigious Hall of Fame spot on DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity List
After leading the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2019 with the #1 spot, AT&T now joins previously top ranked companies to be named in the Hall of Fame. DiversityInc announced this special recognition on May 5 during their annual awards event, which was held virtually due to the current pandemic.
The DiversityInc Hall of Fame stands above the Top 50 list as an example and aspiration for all participating companies. Hall of Fame companies are recognized as long-standing, always evolving leaders in the Diversity & Inclusion space and as a result of treating their employees equitably and fairly. DiversityInc measures companies based on 6 key areas: human capital diversity metrics, leadership accountability, talent programs, workplace practices, supplier diversity & philanthropy.
“This recognition would not be possible without our employees, whose differences make us a stronger company,” said Corey Anthony, SVP & Chief Diversity Officer, AT&T. “Inclusion empowers us to innovate, build deeper connections with our customers, and ultimately become a better company.”
AT&T ranked #1 in the 2019 overall list and was among the Top 10 for several years prior. In addition to the Hall of Fame recognition, DiversityInc also announced several of their specialty lists. AT&T claimed the #1 spot on the Top Companies for Employee Resource Groups and was also listed as a Top Company for LGBT Employees.
