AT&T Seals Global Network Deal With Dutch Industrial Services Company

Future collaboration already in the pipeline as work begins to migrate 350 sites around the world, allowing ERIKS to lay the foundations for future digital growth and innovation

What’s the story? AT&T* is providing the Global Wide Area Network (WAN) for ERIKS across 17 countries, as the Dutch-based company builds its digital capabilities to better serve its customers around the world. Under the agreement, AT&T will migrate ERIKS’ US transport-network to a fully AT&T Managed network, migrate all of the 250 the sites in Europe and Asia Pacific to AT&T, as well as providing dedicated Service Management resources supporting 350 locations in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

Why is this important?

ERIKS is a specialized industrial service provider that offers a wide range of technical products, co-engineering and customization solutions, as well as related services. The company supports OEM and MRO customers in a variety of industrial segments, to improve their products' performance and reduce their total cost of ownership. ERIKS wanted to consolidate their global network with a single provider and provide resilient, flexible, and cost effective 24x7 managed network connectivity to ERIKS’ users to support the implementation and adoption of new technologies. The new global network from AT&T will create one efficient, compliant and secure global IT infrastructure that meets not only ERIKS’ future needs, but also that of their customers and suppliers. Together with ERIKS, AT&T will implement new processes and technology related initiatives that support these objectives.

The contract provides ERIKS with a network which will serve as a foundation for future digital growth and innovation, connecting multiple international business locations such as headquarters, branch offices, home offices, datacenters, and the cloud. A highly-reliable and highly secure connectivity is important for ERIKS regional warehouses, helping them guarantee on time delivery to their customers.

John V. Slamecka, AT&T region president–EMEA & LATAM

“Many industries are going through rapid change. ERIKS is embracing technology as a key enabler in this time of transformation, and we are grateful their leadership is trusting AT&T to deliver its global networking needs and associated solutions.”

“Customers with operations across many regions and countries know how complex it can be to connect those sites in a highly-reliable and highly-secure manner. Our expertise and position as a trusted advisor in this space is being recognised time and time again. We are looking forward to working with ERIKS on this journey and helping them to better serve their customers around the world.”

Annemieke den Otter, CFO, ERIKS

“At ERIKS, we invest in the future. Further digitization is a key part of our strategy, as it allows us to remain a leading supplier that delivers valuable services to our industrial customers. Digitization is key to developing innovative services such as predictive maintenance, but also to offer our customers excellent, on-time delivery. We chose to work with AT&T for our network because of their credentials and track record working with businesses which have a global footprint. They understood the importance of reliability and security for our operations and worked with us to design a solution which will support ERIKS, now and in the future.”
