AT&T Delivers “Monkey King: Hero Is Back” Featuring the Voices of Jackie Chan and James Hong

AT&T* is giving DIRECTV customers an exclusive look at “Monkey King: Hero Is Back.” Written and directed by Tian Xiao Peng, the film features the voices of Jackie Chan (“Kung Fu Panda 3”), James Hong (“Kung Fu Panda 3”) and Nika Futterman (“Star Wars Rebels”).
“Monkey King: Hero Is Back” originally released in China in 2015 and received a Golden Rooster for Best Animated Film.

The plot
According to legend, the powerful Monkey King lived and roamed freely between Heaven and Earth. Due to his rebellious nature and antics, the Gods imprisoned him in an ice cage deep within the mountains.
Hundreds of years pass. Then monsters attack the village nearby and a child escapes to the mountains. Unwittingly, the child releases the Monkey King from his curse and the two work together to save the village from the evil monsters.
